Wedding day

I was asked if i could make a wedding card, I did not know if it was a church wedding, a special venue or which religion.
I decided to stitch this pattern, which I thought looked like an arch. I used gold metallic thread, once I had finished the stitching I had a look through some toppers I had.  I can't remember if this topper is a Hunkydory or Kanban.  I used this topper as it didn't matter where the wedding was or which religion.
I thought the swirls in the topper matched the swirls in my stitched pattern.

The All round card

Hello
Here is a card which I have stitched.  I really enjoyed this pattern.  I then found I had some glitter paper which matched the green coloured thread I had used to stitch the patten.  I didn't plan it, it was just luck!
The sentiment was from Kanban.  I left the inside blank so the card could be used for a Birthday, Anniversary or Wedding..........what do you think?

Promarker Teddy

Hello All,
It has been a few days since my last blog.....had trouble with our telephone line, which meant our broadband stopped working but after a few days of engineers coming to the house and working at the exchange, we are at last up and running.

Here is my first Promarker coloured in stamped image,  I am quite pleased with this card.  I mentioned to a club member friend -Sue, that I had never managed to stamp an image and then colour it in, without it looking flat. Sue very kindly said she would teach me how.  So the following week I stamped this image of the teddy in the chair, and Sue showed me how to colour the image without it looking flat.  Sue taught me how to shade and blend, and when I had finished the picture, I was quite pleased with the end result.

I stitched the pattern using a dark red colour thread (which highlighted the present and envelope in the picture), and white and dark red beads. I then matted and layered the picture onto the stitch card and then mounted onto some hunkydory card I had.
Hope you like it. xx

Mums Umbrella

Hello,
This was the first beaded sewn card I made.  A friend of mine, Janice, had made a card using the umbrella pattern, and I loved it. So Janice very kindly let me have a copy of the pattern.  Once I had sewn the pattern, adding the beads as I went along.

I then mounted onto patterned paper and cut a frame using spellbinders die.  I also cut some flourishes and butterflies to decorate the edges.
As you will see, I made this as a Mothers Day card, and sent it to my Mum last month.
Thank you for looking in..........

Dragon Flies

Hello All,

I can't believe how cold it is, we had snow today...beginning to think spring is never going to arrive.

Here is a card I made using a stamp which I bought from a charity shop.  The stamp is square with a flower pattern on the left, writing on the right and two dragon flies. I stamped onto white card and coloured in the flowers on the left, and the dragon flies.  I then stamp onto green velum and cut out the dragon flies wings, I glued just the centre part of the wings into place and once dry I bent up the wings to give the card movement.  I glued some gems in the middle of the wings, which hide the glue but also looks good for the body of the dragon fly.

I mounted it onto some patterned paper I had and placed four gem stones at the four corners. I also cut out some pink flowers and leaves to match the flowers, which I had coloured in.

More cards soon xx

Time with Friends

I made this card using Clarity Stamps.  I haven't made many cards using just stamps as I am not very confident about colouring them in but the floral stamps were lovely to colour.

The flowered border is made up using Clarity Stamps - 'Blooming Corner' and 'Blooming Border', these are so easy to use and easy to match up to make a running border, so you can make it as big or as little as you want.  The Scarecrow, crows and sentiment are also Clarity stamps.

You may notice there are three gold butterfly peel offs on my card.  I did not plan on using any peel offs but I had some ink on the side of my hand, which I had not noticed and so while colouring in the border I managed to leave three blobs of ink.  I was not very happy and nearly threw the card out but then thought of my little butterflies. I don't think they look too out of place.....what do you think?

Thank you for looking in, Take care xx
