Peachy Note

Hello visitors,

Here you will see I have used the pattern die which I used in one of my previous blogs, titled 'Shoe Mouse'.
I stitched the pattern with an orange/peach colour thread for the flower and green for the swirls to make them look like vines.

I used some peach colour patterned paper from my stash, this has lots of little flowers and I thought went with the stitched pattern.

I embossed some white pearlised card with swirls and left this white, then embossed another card with little dots and coloured this using distressing ink, and I mounted the stitched pattern on the top of all three.
I stamped a sentiment (which is from Clarity Stamps), in the middle and used distressing ink to colour the back ground.

I think it goes well together. Hope you think so too.

Yes another Wedding Card

I have used two different styles of stitching for this wedding card, which is 8"x 8".

I used Form-a-Lines for the car and for the two stitched patterns either side of the car I have used another die pattern from - Anns Patterns.  I stitched onto white card and trimmed it with a flex peel off.
I then mounted this onto patterned paper and matched it with some ribbon.
Hope you like it x

Wedding Day

My daughter asked me to make a wedding card for her friends, with a difference. The wedding she was attending was a civil partnership, and her friends were both girls.  My daughter didn't want the card to say 'civil partnership', she said it was their wedding day so wanted the card to say so.
I remembered I had bought a celebration pack from Create & Craft TV (sorry, I can not remember the maker) not only did it have wedding day, engagement, birth toppers but it had civi partnership toppers for male and female.
You will see that the oval topper with the wedding cake has two brides and the square topper has 'On Your Wedding Day'.  This was just what my daughter wanted.

I embossed some white pearlised card, with an A4 embossability folder from Spellbinders, and mounted this onto rainbow mirror card and then onto pink paper.  I wrapped some pink ribbon around the mounted cards and then added some thinner white and silver ribbon, and the pink wedding toppers. I then attached this all onto 8"x 8" card.

I had some mirror card and embossed card left over, so made this bookmark, adding some orange ribbon and a butterfly charm.

Shoe Mouse!

Hello,

I made this card using one of my new stencils I have bought.  The design is by Ann's Paper Art and they have been produced by Nellies Choice.  They are really good.

I am not sure where I got the picture of the mouse in the shoe from but I thought it was cute.  I picked out the red and navy blue of the picture to stitch the pattern, and then mounted it on red card.  I didn't add any ribbons or bows, as I thought it looked ok with just a sentiment in the corner.  I was quite pleased with the end result.
Thank you for taking a look in. x

Gelli Arts Gelli Plate

Hello,
Today I am showing you a card I made using the Gelli Art, Gelli Plate, which Barbara Gray has on her Website www.claritystamp.co.uk

I saw Barbara demonstrating this product at the Big Stamp Show at Alexandra Palace. I really liked the effects Barbara was achieving, so bought the kit.  It will be along time before I get my prints looking anywhere nearly as good as Barbaras.

I decided to stamp a train in the centre, which I coloured with my promarkers but the sky, hills and the ground next to the rail, I coloured using Adirondack ink and makeup sponge.
I then mounted the picture onto some gold embossed card which was then mounted onto an 8' x 8' card blank.  The sentiment I stamped onto some more, Gelli Plate printed card, so that it matched.

My friends know I do not like getting messy fingers but with this craft, although your fingers get dirty, they are not sticky because the Acrylic paint dries so fast.

Stitched Bird House

Hi All,

I made this card for my friends birthday.  My friend likes birds, so I thought this bird house would be ideal.  After stitching the bird house, I added the birds and flowers with the sentiments.
Hope you like it, bye for now x
